Visual Antibody

Getting started with Visual Antibody

Visual Antibody provides research-grade tools for antibody sequence analysis, CDR identification (Kabat/IMGT numbering), physicochemical properties (pI, molecular weight), and 3D structure viewing—all in the browser. No installation required.

What we offer

Enter a heavy or light chain sequence to get CDR regions (CDR-H1/H2/H3 or CDR-L1/L2/L3) with Kabat numbering, plus molecular weight, pI, GRAVY, and charge. Results are deterministic and citable. View antibody 3D structures (Fv or full) from PDB, highlight CDR loops in the CDR Highlighter, and export PDB, PNG, or PDF reports. For CDR sequence export see CDR Sequence Export.

Typical workflow

  1. Sequence analysis: Go to Sequence Analyzer (CDR/Kabat), paste your heavy or light chain (e.g. from IMGT or your clone). Get CDR1, CDR2, CDR3, pI, molecular weight, and a downloadable PDF report. Copy CDR sequences for design or export.
  2. pI and molecular weight: Use pI & Molecular Weight for quick pI/MW from sequence when you don’t need CDR parsing.
  3. 3D view: Use Fv Region 3D to load an antibody PDB (e.g. from RCSB); rotate, zoom, export PDB or PNG. Use CDR Highlighter to visualize CDR loops in 3D.
  4. Your own PDB: Use PDB Upload (Antibody) to load your structure file and export from the viewer.
